Monument to the Divine Savior of the World

If you're on a budget, check local food stalls near the monument. You can grab some tasty pupusas for way cheaper than in restaurants.

Bring a hat and plenty of water, especially if you're visiting during the day. The sun can get really strong up there, and you’ll need to stay hydrated

My advice is to watch out for pickpockets, especially when it gets busier. Keep your belongings close and be aware of your surroundings.

Don’t forget to explore the views from the top! Climbing the stairs to the platform gives you a fantastic panoramic view of San Salvador.
Catedral Metropolitana de San Salvador

I recommend visiting early around 9 AM to avoid crowds and enjoy the serene atmosphere. The light streaming through the stained glass is stunning in the morning!

I think bringing some cash is a good idea. There are local vendors nearby with great snacks and souvenirs and it’s a fun way to support the local economy!

If you're on a budget, you can skip the pricey guided tours. I found plenty of info on signs inside that were easy to follow along.

don’t miss the details! take your time exploring the architecture and the altars. i felt rushed at first, but once i slowed down, i appreciated the beauty so much more.
Plaza Morazan

Check out the little kiosks selling crafts and souvenirs. I found some unique items that were way cheaper than in tourist shops. Don't rush this part!

If there's an event or festival happening, consider timing your visit around that. I accidentally caught a local performance, and it made the experience way more special!

My advice is to stay aware of your belongings, especially when it gets crowded, as pickpockets can be an issue. I almost lost my phone when I wasn’t paying attention.
San Andres

My advice is to check out the sunset at Playa San Andres around 5:30 PM. It's such a beautiful sight! Grab a cheap drink from a nearby vendor and kick back totally worth it!

I think renting a bike is a great way to explore the island without breaking the bank. Just be ready for a lil workout – some spots can be hilly. It’s a fun way to see hidden gems!
Salvadoran National Theater
Catedral de Nuestra Senora Santa Ana
Civic Square Captain General Gerardo Barrios
Museum of Art of El Salvador

Get your tickets online to save time! The lines can get long, especially during peak hours. Trust me, skipping that was a game changer for my visit.
