I suggest booking your accommodation in advance, especially during the high season. I didn’t and ended up in a cramped tent with poor facilities. Lesson learned!

I think it’s worth it to invest in a good pair of binoculars... You’ll get way more out of the wildlife viewing, and I totally regretted not having mine when I saw some amazing animals!

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The on-site options can be a bit limited and pricy, which caught me off guard.
