My advice is to wear long pants and sturdy shoes. I regretted wearing shorts and flip-flops, especially when I got on the horse – the saddles aren’t always comfy with bare skin.

I think it's best to go in the early morning, around 8 AM or so. The horses are more active and the trails are less crowded, making for a more peaceful ride.

You might want to check the weather ahead of time. We got caught in a rain shower, and that made our ride pretty muddy and slippery. A little raincoat could save your day!
