Stara Planina

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The prices at the mountain kiosks can be a bit steep, and packing some energy bars helped me last through those long hikes.

I found that starting my hike around 7 AM was perfect. You beat the crowds and the heat, plus you got the chance to see some really beautiful morning views.
Divcibare Ski Resort

I suggest booking your ski pass online in advance to save some money and skip the lines at the resort. That way you can get straight to the slopes!

If you're planning to rent equipment, I recommend checking out shops outside the main resort area. I saved some cash that way, and they had great gear! Just be sure to reserve if you can.

I think hitting the slopes by 9 AM is the way to go. You’ll get fresher snow and less crowded runs, plus the morning light is perfect for photos.
Tornik

I recommend going to Tornik on weekdays if you can. The weekends get super crowded, and you might spend more time waiting in line than actually skiing. Try to hit the slopes early around 9 AM.

My advice is to bring your own food and water. The on-site restaurants can be a bit pricey and have limited options. Packing a lunch saved me money and gave me more time to enjoy the slopes!

If you're renting equipment, I suggest doing it the night before. That way, you avoid long morning lines. I had to wait for ages to get my gear, and it cut into my skiing time.

I think taking a lesson if you're a beginner is totally worth it. The instructors are friendly and helped me feel more confident on the slopes. Plus, it helps you to get tips on the best runs!
