Culture in Singapore:
Esplanade Theater
If you plan to go to the gift shop, swing by during weekday afternoons. It was really crowded when I went on a Saturday, and I couldn’t even browse properly!
If you're thinking of catching a show, try to book your tickets in advance, especially for popular performances. I almost missed out because I waited too long!
Check out the Esplanade Mall for unique shops and cafes. I found some lovely souvenirs there that were way more affordable than in touristy spots around the city.
Merlion
Clark Quay
When you're walking around, don't forget to explore the alleyways. I stumbled upon some cool cafes and boutique shops that weren't in the main area – way cooler than the touristy spots!
Look for happy hour deals at the bars; some are pretty good, and you can save on drinks while soaking in the views. I ended up at a place with 1-for-1 cocktails and it was awesome!
Bring a power bank! I spent so much time taking pictures that my phone died pretty quickly. You'll want to capture every angle of those colorful buildings!
National Gallery of Singapore
Wings of Time
Museum of Art and Science
I suggest checking out the latest exhibition schedule online before your visit, so you know what to expect and don’t miss anything cool. I missed an interactive show that was only on for a couple days!
Pro tip: Use the Oculus app if you're into augmented reality. It adds a neat layer to your experience and it’s free! I had a blast with this!
My advice is to grab lunch at the nearby mall instead of the museum café. Food prices there are a bit steep and the mall food was way tastier!
Madame Tussauds Singapore
Sultan Hussein Mosque
Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
The Science Centre Singapore
Be mindful of your time with the exhibits. Some self-guided spots can lead you down a rabbit hole if you’re not careful! Set a timer if you want to catch everything!
