East Coast Park
Visit the beach in the late afternoon around 5 PM. The sunset view is breathtaking and it’s cooler for a stroll or setting up a perfect picnic.
Rent a bike instead of walking. The park is huge, and biking lets you cover more ground easily, plus it's super fun – I loved zooming down the paths!
Watch out for jellyfish warnings if you’re planning to swim. I didn’t check before diving in and got stung – definitely not a great memory!
Merlion Park
My advice is to wear comfortable shoes! The area is bigger than it looks, and there's a lot of walking involved if you want to see everything.
I suggest exploring nearby attractions like the Esplanade and Marina Bay Sands after your visit. You can keep the good vibes going without spending much more time!
Jurong Bird Park
Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park
Bring along a light picnic. The park has awesome spots to chill, and you can save some bucks by munching there instead of at a café.
Check out the water play area with kids if you have any. It's really fun, but I suggest bringing an extra set of clothes – they’ll get soaked!
Fort Canning Park
Southern Ridges
Far East Organization Children's Garden
Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom
Don't forget to check out the nocturnal insects exhibit if you can! It was a unique experience that not everyone manages to fit in their trip. I would definitely spend a bit more time there next visit.
I recommend visiting early in the morning around 10 AM when it's less crowded and the butterflies are more active. It really makes the experience magical!
If you want to see the butterflies up close, try wearing bright colors. I wore a light blue shirt and they were all over me, which was totally awesome!
