Bratislava Castle
Orava Castle

I recommend wearing good shoes! The paths are a bit uneven and if you want to explore, comfort is key!

If you have some time, grab a guide booklet. I didn’t and later wished I had because I missed out on some cool stories.

Check out the nearby village for lunch options instead of eating at the castle cafe. You’ll find some delicious local food for half the price!

Get there around 9 AM when they open to avoid the crowds and really take your time exploring. Trust me, it's way more enjoyable without the hustle and bustle!
Mikhailovsky Gate
Slavin

I think taking the path that leads up to Slavin is a nice walking route with beautiful views of the city and the Danube. It gives you a great perspective and makes the visit more memorable.

I recommend bringing a camera, but also consider just soaking in the views with your eyes first. The monument and surrounding gardens provide great photo ops, but it’s worth taking a moment to appreciate the atmosphere.
Devin Castle
Trenchian Castle

I recommend wearing comfy shoes! The grounds are bigger than they seem and you'll be doing a lot of walking and climbing.

I suggest getting there around 9 AM to beat the crowds. The morning light is also perfect for photos! Trust me, it gets busy fast.

My advice is to bring a packed lunch. The on-site café isn't too cheap, and there's some nice spots around the castle to enjoy a picnic.

I think checking for special events before you go is smart. During my visit, they had a medieval fair which made the experience super special!
Bojnice Castle
Cathedral of St. Elizabeth of Hungary

Be ready for a bit of a climb up the tower. I wasn't aware of how steep the stairs were and could have used a breather! But the view from up there is totally worth it.

I think you should consider taking a sit on the benches around the cathedral. It's a lovely way to soak in the atmosphere, plus you get some awesome views without rushing through.
Spissky Castle
Church of St. Elizabeth

Try to visit around 9 AM, before the crowds start showing up. I did this and it felt way more peaceful, plus I got great photos without people everywhere.

Wear comfy shoes! The cobblestones around the church can be tough on your feet, especially if you decide to explore nearby attractions. Trust me, you don't want sore feet ruining your day.

Don’t forget to check out the details of the architecture. I kinda rushed through and missed some of the cool little tiles and designs. Take your time to admire the beauty—it's worth it!
