Ljubljana Castle

I suggest taking the funicular up to the castle, it's such a fun ride and saves you energy for exploring! Just be aware of the ticket line, it can get long.

Check out the cafe for a coffee and cake break. I tried the local cake and it was delicious – perfect treat while overlooking the city!

Make sure to explore the exhibition spaces inside... I spent too much time outside and missed some really cool installations...

If you’re on a budget, pack a picnic. There are plenty of lovely spots around the castle to enjoy lunch with a view.
Bled Castle
Dragon Bridge

When you visit, check out the nearby cafes for a coffee. They're usually cheaper than the ones near the main square, and the atmosphere is so nice!

Take a few minutes to explore the area around the bridge. There are pretty little paths and parks just nearby that are perfect for a quiet stroll
Predyama Castle

I recommend grabbing lunch at the nearby restaurant. They have local dishes that are reasonably priced, and the view of the castle is a total bonus!

I suggest getting the audio guide. It was super informative and really helped me to understand the castle's history better without feeling rushed

Don't forget to check the weather before your trip. It rained on my visit, and I wish I had brought an umbrella for the outdoor areas.

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! The castle has some steep climbs, and you'll be walking around a lot. Trust me, your feet will thank you.
Congress Square

If you're into architecture take some time to simply sit and admire the buildings. I found myself discovering small details I missed while walking around.

I suggest visiting Congress Square in the late afternoon, around 5 PM. The light is just perfect for pictures and it’s less crowded then.

I recommend wearing comfy shoes. You'll likely wander around more than you planned. The cobblestone can be a bit tricky.

Consider visiting the square during the week instead of the weekend. It’s way less crowded and you can truly appreciate the space without hassle
Tartini Square

The sunset at Tartini Square is stunning. I recommend being there around 7pm to catch the view. It's way less busy than during the day, and the atmosphere is just magical!

I suggest grabbing a bite at one of the outdoor restaurants near the square, but be careful! It can get pricey, so check the menu before you sit down. I learned that the hard way!

I found a lovely gelato shop just a few steps from the square. It’s a perfect treat after exploring. My advice is to try their unique flavors - I had a fig gelato and it was amazing!

Parking can be tricky and expensive. I suggest using public transport if you can. It saves you time and money! I parked in a distant lot, and it was such a hassle trekking back.
