The Company's Garden Restaurant
Cafe Manhattan

If you need a quiet moment, head to the back seating area; it’s way more relaxed and perfect for chatting without too much background noise.

Their coffee is fantastic but I suggest getting the daily special instead of the regular menu if you're looking to save some bucks.

I think visiting on a Thursday night gives you a better vibe; that's when they host fun events and smaller crowds, so it’s easier to mingle
I recommend trying their brunch on weekends; it gets packed by 10 AM, so arrive early to grab a good spot.
Vergelegen Wine Estate

My advice is to book a wine tasting in advance! I didn’t and ended up waiting for a slot, which kinda messed up my schedule. So, avoid the hassle!

I really suggest visiting Vergelegen on a weekday if you can. It was way less crowded and more relaxing to enjoy the wines without rushing. Trust me, weekends get packed!

Check out the gardens after your tasting. They’re stunning and free to roam! I felt like I was in a postcard. Just set aside some time to really take it all in.
Delaire Graff Estate
The Shack

I recommend getting there around 6 PM if you want to grab a good spot, it tends to get packed later on. Plus, you can enjoy happy hour specials!

If you're into billiards, I suggest reserving a table in advance. I didn’t, and I had to wait a while before I could play!

The vibe is relaxed, so I think it’s a great place to chill with friends. Try their local beers; they’re pretty decent and reasonably priced!
The Corner Pocket Bar & Billiards

I think you should definitely ask the staff for drink recommendations. They know what’s good, and it saved me from picking something generic that I didn't enjoy.

My advice is to grab some snacks when you order drinks; their menu has some nice bites that pair well with your drinks, and it’s easy on the wallet

I recommend getting there around 5 PM for happy hour specials, it's a great way to save some cash on drinks. Trust me, it gets busy after that.
Beefcakes

My advice is to check out their themed nights in advance. I stumbled upon a really fun retro night, but if I had known, I’d have planned my visit better.

I suggest arriving right before 8 PM to grab a good spot for the drag shows. It gets packed, and you’ll want a front-row seat to enjoy the performances!

I think happy hour from 5 to 7 PM is a great time to visit. You can enjoy cheaper drinks and maybe even taste some of their delicious snacks.

If you want to save money, I recommend sharing plates. The portions are generous, and sharing allows you to try more dishes without breaking the bank.
Ratz Bar

I think it’s wise to get there by 10 PM if you want to snag a spot in the outdoor area. It filled up fast, and I missed catching the vibe outside first.

My advice is to check out their theme nights ahead of time! We stumbled in on a karaoke night and had a blast, but I would’ve loved to see some specific performances they have on weekends.

If you're looking to avoid the crowds, try hitting up Ratz Bar on a Wednesday or Thursday night. It was way less packed, and we could chat easier!
Jason Bakery

Check out their seasonal specials. I found out they have unique flavors that pop up, and I think they’re way better than the standard stuff

don't skip the pastries! their almond croissant is unbelievable. i suggest grabbing a couple to go – you won't regret it!

I recommend going during the weekdays if you can. It was pretty busy when I went on a Saturday, and it took a while to get served.

If you're looking to save a little, try to go for their lunch specials. I got a great meal that included a pastry for a decent price.
Ou Meul Pinelands

If you’re a coffee lover, definitely pair your pastry with their signature coffee drink; I found it was way better than my usual go-to!
i suggest asking the staff for daily specials—they’re super friendly and will give you the inside scoop on what's worth trying that day.

I recommend going in the morning, around 9 AM, to beat the brunch crowd. You’ll have a better chance at trying their fresh pastries before they sell out!

My advice is to bring cash if you can. Some items are a bit pricey if you're using a card and they sometimes have limited card facilities.
