Boulders Beach
Watch out for the sneaky seagulls! I seriously lost half my sandwich to one of them. Keep your food close, or you’ll be sharing your lunch!
I recommend hitting Boulders Beach early, like around 8 AM. You'll beat the crowds and have the place almost to yourself for some amazing photos.
Muizenberg Beach
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach cafes can be a bit pricey, and there's a lovely picnic area you can use.
If you like swimming, keep an eye on the waves. I found the tide a bit rough at times. It's better to check local conditions before jumping in!
Camps Bay Beach
Definitely grab a beach umbrella and some snacks from local shops before you hit the sand—beachside cafes can be a bit pricey. I wish I had done that!
Strand Beach
I recommend getting to Strand Beach before 10 AM to snag a good parking spot. It gets busy quickly and trust me you don’t want to waste precious beach time hunting for a place.
If you're planning to rent umbrellas and loungers, negotiate the prices upfront. Some vendors are flexible and you can save a few bucks. I wish I had asked first to avoid paying more!
