My advice is to try the D82 slope if you’re a beginner like I was. It’s perfect for practicing, and not as crowded as some of the others. I had a great time without feeling overwhelmed.

I think it's a good idea to bring your own snacks and drinks. The on-site food can be pricey, and they don’t allow outside food in the lodges, so just be smart about it!

I suggest going on a weekday if you can. The weekend crowds can get insane and you’ll end up waiting a long time for the lifts. Trust me, it’s way more chill during the week

Don't forget to bring a portable charger! I ran out of battery after taking photos and missed some wonderful moments. It's a lifesaver!

I suggest checking the snow conditions online before you head to the slopes. I was caught in a slushy mess once and it wasn't fun at all!
I think it's worth investing a little extra in a day pass. The lift lines really picked up after 10 AM. You'll get way more runs in early!

While snowmobiling is super fun, make sure to reserve your spot early. We showed up and were told it was fully booked, so we missed out!

Leave your car at the base and take the shuttle bus to the top. Parking up there is limited, and the bus ride was quick and easy!

If you're renting gear, pick it up the night before. The lines can get super long in the morning and renting early got me on the slopes faster.

My advice is to check the weather forcasts a few days prior. We went on a cloudy day, and it kinda ruined the visibility on the slopes.

I recommend trying the local Korean food at one of the cafes instead of the overpriced resort dining. The bibimbap was so delish and way more affordable!
Phoenix Pyeongchang

I think taking a break for lunch around 1 PM helps. The dining spots were way less crowded than during peak hours, letting me enjoy my meal!

My advice is to rent your ski gear off-site; I found a place nearby with cheaper prices than the on-mountain rental shop.

If you plan to go snowmobiling, I recommend trying it early in the morning. The snow is much fresher and more fun to ride on.

I suggest buying lift tickets online a day in advance to avoid the long lines at the ticket booth. It saved me so much time!

I recommend getting your lift tickets online a day before... It saved me a some time and you could snag a discount too... No need to stand in long lines at the ticket counter!

My advice is to explore the lesser-known slopes. I found some fantastic runs that were less crowded plus they were just as fun as the main ones!

If you’re a beginner, the morning around 9-10am is great – the slopes are mostly empty then. Just avoid the afternoons when everyone is out there after they wake up!
