Las Ventas Bullring
Check the schedule for events in advance. I went on a day with no bullfight and was a bit bummed. They have tours too, but catching a live event is the real deal.
If you're interested in the history don’t skip the small museum inside. I found some amazing stories and artifacts that really enriched my experience.
Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza
If you're on a budget, my advice is to skip the more expensive guided tours. The place is easy to explore on your own with a good audio guide for just a few euros.
Valencia Plaza de Toros
Plan to spend a good hour exploring the Plaza; you'll want time to soak it all in. Use the audio guide for extra insights—some bits are easy to miss if you're just walking around.
I recommend going right at opening time around 10 AM to avoid the crowds. You'll have plenty of space to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere without feeling rushed.
Plaza de Toros de Pamplona
If you're planning to buy souvenirs, don't do it at the Plaza itself. I found the prices way too high. Instead, explore the little shops a few streets away; I scored a great bull figurine for half the price!
I suggest visiting in the morning around 10 AM. It was less crowded then, and I could really appreciate the history without the hustle.
Vista Alegre
Plan to spend a bit of time just strolling around the area. There are some beautiful streets and hidden gems that you wouldn’t want to miss if you rush through.
Bring cash. Some places around the arena might not take cards, and it’s good to have some on hand for snacks and small souvenirs.
I think visiting during the weekdays is better, as weekends can get super busy, making it harder to enjoy the atmosphere and explore the venue comfortably.
I recommend hitting Vista Alegre early in the day, around 10 AM, to beat the crowds and grab some good photos without too many people in the frame.
Plaza de Toros Monumental de Barcelona
I suggest taking a guided tour rather than a self-guided... The history behind the plaza is so fascinating, and having a guide makes it way more engaging!
Ronda
I recommend exploring the scenic paths along the gorge. They can be a bit steep, but the views are totally worth it. Just don't forget water; I got dehydrated mid-hike!
If you're lookin' to snag a souvenir, skip the pricey shops in the touristy areas. I found some really cool handmade stuff at local markets and it was way cheaper!
Tarraco Arena
I suggest wearing comfy shoes! The arena has a lot of ground to cover, and trust me, you'll want to roam around and soak it all in without sore feet ruining your fun.
Plaza de Toros de Vista Alegre
I think grabbing a bite at one of the nearby tapas bars is a must! Take a few minutes to wander the streets. I found a spot with amazing local flavors and it was way more affordable than eating inside the plaza.
My advice is to check for any events before you go. I ended up missing a concert because I didn't look ahead. Some events are free or really cheap, so you might save a few bucks!
I suggest visiting on a Sunday afternoon. The vibes are super relaxed, and you can really soak in the authentic atmosphere without the weekend rush. Plus, it's often less crowded!
Plaza de Toros de Illumbe
My advice is to check the game schedule before heading there. I went for a game that was exciting, but it was on a weekday evening and the crowd was a bit sparse. Weekends can be a blast!
