Parque del Retiro
My advice is to bring a portable charger. You’re gonna want to snap tons of pictures, and trust me, your phone's battery will drain fast with all the amazing sights.
If you're into art don’t miss the park's sculptures. But be careful I got lost wandering and spent over an hour looking for the exit! A map in hand can save you some time.
I suggest checking out the Crystal Palace; it's stunning, but it can get packed. Go on a weekday if you can. I made the mistake of visiting on a weekend, and it was hard to enjoy.
Ciutadella Park
If you're into people-watching, grab a bench near the playground or the fountain. Watching local kids play is super fun and gives you a taste of daily life in Barcelona.
don't miss the cascada monumental—it's stunning! i was blown away by the details. it’s great for a photo op, so take your time there
Try to get to the park around 9 AM. You'll beat the crowd and enjoy a peaceful stroll before it gets busy. Plus, the morning light is perfect for photos!
Park Guell
Try to get there right when the park opens at 9 AM. You'll beat the crowds and have more space to enjoy the beautiful areas without too many people in your photos
If you want to save some money, bring your own snacks and drinks. The onsite café is pretty pricey for a quick bite.
Teide National Park
I recommend taking the cable car up to the summit. The views are unbelievable, and you save time climbing the trails. Just be sure to check the weather, as it can get foggy!
Grab your lunch from a local supermarket in nearby towns before heading in. Food in the park can be pricey, and you’ll want to enjoy a picnic with a view!
Park Europe
My advice is to wear comfy shoes! You’ll be walking a lot, and trust me, your feet will thank you after a full day of exploring.
Oeste Park
If you’re into jogging or biking, come prepared with your gear. The park is huge, and the pathways are perfect for a workout while soaking in the scenery.
Gulliver Park
I suggest visiting early around 9 AM to beat the crowds—it's way more enjoyable without the hustle and bustle. You can get some great pics too!
El Capricho Park
I suggest visiting on weekdays, especially in the morning around 9 AM. It gets way busier on weekends and you'll enjoy it more without the crowds.
Park Grande Jose Antonio Labordeta
I recommend checking out the fountains. They’re super refreshing on a hot day! Just be careful, a little splashed water might catch you off guard!
There’s a small playground for kids near the entrance. If you have little ones, let them play for a bit while you relax on a bench.
Definitely check out the bandstand! I found it to be the perfect backdrop for a few pics. Just remember to snap also a few candid photos when no one's around.
Bring a picnic! There's plenty of space to chill and lots of shady spots. I ended up buying snacks from a nearby shop which was way pricier than I thought!
Orth's Labyrinth
I think you should download an offline map beforehand. Service can be spotty once you're in the labyrinth, and getting lost can be frustrating but also fun if you're prepared!
Don't forget to wear comfy shoes. The pathways can be tricky and uneven, which I learned the hard way after tripping a couple of times. But hey, it added to the adventure.
