Adam's Peak

Check for lunar phases before you plan your trip. A full moon hike is stunning and allows you to enjoy the trek without headlamps!

I suggest wearing good hiking shoes. Some sections can be slippery, and you'll want to feel secure on your feet.

Start your hike by 2 AM to catch the sunrise at the peak; it's pure magic as the sun rises over the hills. Bring a warm jacket because it gets chilly!
Rawana Falls
Royal Botanic Garden
Bambarakanda Waterfall and Ohiya Trek
Sembuwatta Lake
Viharamahadevi Park

If you're into photography, late afternoon around 5 PM offers beautiful light for capturing the park's scenery. I almost missed the perfect sunset shot, so plan for it!

Check out the giant Buddha statue and the fountains in the park—they’re gorgeous! I recommend planning some time just to sit and take it all in; it's a lovely spot to relax.
Ramboda Waterfall
Dambulla Cave Temple
Horton Plains National Park

Wear good hiking shoes. Some paths can be a bit muddy and slippery, especially after rain. Trust me, you don’t want to be slipping around on your adventure!

If you're hoping to see wildlife be as quiet as possible and keep your eyes peeled. I saw a few deer and tons of cool birds but making noise scared them away quickly!

don't miss the circular trail around the park; it’s more than just about world’s end. the views along the way are stunning and give a great mix of the park's beauty!

Pack a light breakfast or snacks. The trails are longer than they seem, and I wish I’d had some food on me instead of relying on the sparse options at the visitor center.
