The Chimei Museum

i think it’s smart to plan at least 3 hours for your visit. there’s so much to see and trust me you don’t wanna rush through it. i was exhausted after 2 hours but still wished to see more!

My advice is to grab a museum guide at the entrance. It’s super helpful in navigating the exhibits. I kinda just wandered around, and I felt I missed out on some cool info.

I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. It's way less crowded, and you can soak in all the art peacefully. Weekends can be a bit chaotic, to be honest
National Palace Museum

I suggest grabbing an audio guide. It made the exhibits so much more interesting and I learned things I totally missed otherwise.
Museum of the imperial palace
National Museum of Natural Science

i recommend getting there right when it opens at 9 am to avoid the big crowds, especially at the popular exhibits. it makes for a much more relaxing experience!

If you're on a budget, look for discount passes for nearby attractions. I ended up saving a decent amount by visiting places with combo tickets.
The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! You’ll be doing a lot of walking around the museum and the surrounding areas, so trust me, a solid pair of sneakers is a must.

I recommend bringing some snacks and water. While the food options are decent, they can get a bit pricey, and you'll want some energy while exploring.
The National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium

I recommend giving yourself about 4-5 hours to explore. I rushed through things and felt like I missed a lot of cool exhibits. Pace yourself!

Skip the souvenir shop unless you really want something special. I found the prices a bit steep and I didn't see much that caught my eye.
The Southern Branch of the National Palace Museum
National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

Check if there are any special exhibitions happening when you visit. I stumbled upon a fantastic temporary show that was included in the entrance fee, which added a lot to my visit!

Bring a water bottle. They have places to refill, and it’ll save you some cash instead of buying drinks inside. Plus, you'll stay hydrated while exploring!

Try to visit on a weekday if you can. The crowds were much thinner, and I really enjoyed taking my time looking at the pieces without rushing through!

Don't skip the gift shop! There's some unique art-inspired souvenirs that I didn’t expect to find. Just be aware some items can be pricier than you think
The National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts

I suggest visiting during the weekdays if you can. It’s way less crowded, and you can really take your time to enjoy the art

If you’re a fan of art, don’t miss the gift shop on your way out. They have some unique local art pieces and souvenirs that make great mementos.

The café there can be a bit pricey, so I’d recommend grabbing a quick snack from a convenience store nearby before you go in.

I recommend bringing a portable charger. You’ll want to take loads of pictures, and trust me, you don’t want to be hunting for a place to plug in.
The National Science and Technology Museum
I recommend getting there by 10 AM to avoid the crowds. When I went, the later it got, the busier it became, making it harder to enjoy the exhibits!

Make sure to wear comfy shoes! The museum is big, and I underestimated the walking. By the end of the day, my feet were killing me!
