The Chimei Museum

i think it’s smart to plan at least 3 hours for your visit. there’s so much to see and trust me you don’t wanna rush through it. i was exhausted after 2 hours but still wished to see more!

My advice is to grab a museum guide at the entrance. It’s super helpful in navigating the exhibits. I kinda just wandered around, and I felt I missed out on some cool info.

I recommend visiting on a weekday if you can. It's way less crowded, and you can soak in all the art peacefully. Weekends can be a bit chaotic, to be honest
National Palace Museum

If you're on a budget, consider the combo ticket for NPM and the Shung Ye museum. I saved a bit and got to see another cool place!

I think you should definitely try the food court. The price was reasonable and the dumplings were amazing - way better than I expected!

I suggest grabbing an audio guide. It made the exhibits so much more interesting and I learned things I totally missed otherwise.
Museum of the imperial palace

when you're done with the main exhibits, take some time to explore the gardens. they’re stunning and provide a peaceful escape from the indoor crowds.

Plan to spend at least 3-4 hours there. It feels rushed if you try to see everything in under that time, and you don’t want to miss the highlights.

Check out the restaurant on site. The food is decent and gives you a nice break. I didn’t expect much, but the experience was pretty pleasant!
Feng Chia Night Market
National Museum of Natural Science

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! The museum is larger than it seems, and you'll be doing a lot of walking. sandals can be a bit tricky on the floors too.

I suggest checking out the science center part of the museum; it's super fun and interactive for all ages. Just don't skip over the lesser-known exhibits; they’re really interesting!

i recommend getting there right when it opens at 9 am to avoid the big crowds, especially at the popular exhibits. it makes for a much more relaxing experience!

If you're on a budget, look for discount passes for nearby attractions. I ended up saving a decent amount by visiting places with combo tickets.
Chiang Kai-shek Memorial
The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum

If you can, try to catch the evening lights around 5:30 PM. The whole place changes with the colors of the sunset, making it absolutely breathtaking!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes! You’ll be doing a lot of walking around the museum and the surrounding areas, so trust me, a solid pair of sneakers is a must.

I recommend bringing some snacks and water. While the food options are decent, they can get a bit pricey, and you'll want some energy while exploring.
The National Museum of Marine Biology and Aquarium

I suggest you bring a packed lunch. The food in the cafeteria is decent, but a bit pricey, and there's some nice spots around to eat your own food.

Check the feeding schedule for the animals. I thought it was so cool to see the sea turtles being fed at around 11 AM, totally made my visit even better!

If you're into photography, I suggest visiting during the afternoon when natural light hits some areas best. The jellyfish tanks looked stunning with that light!

If you're planning to do the IMAX theater, get your tickets in advance. The lines were long and I ended up missing the show I wanted to see!
