Maracas Beach

My advice is to pack some snacks and drinks. The beach bars are fun but pricey, and it's nice to chill with your own stuff too.

Bring some cash! I thought I'd be able to use my card everywhere, but some places only take cash for the best local eats
Las Cuevas Beach

Bring some snacks and drinks with you! The options at the beach are limited, and prices can be steep. Plus, you’ll want to enjoy snacks while lounging on the beach without paying a fortune.

Parking can fill up fast, so try to arrive by 9 AM for the best spots. I made the mistake of arriving later and had to park farther away than I wanted.

if you're planning to swim, check the waves first. they can get pretty rough, especially late afternoon. i suggest going around 10 am when the water's calmer.
Queen's Park Savannah

Definitely check out the food stalls around the Savannah after your stroll. They have delicious local snacks at reasonable prices, and it's a great way to save money.

I suggest visiting early in the morning around 7 AM. The park is quieter then, and you can enjoy a peaceful walk while taking in the beautiful scenery.

My advice is to bring a camera! There are stunning views across the park, especially at sunset. You don’t want to miss the chance to capture that natural beauty!

Think about bringing a picnic! There’s lots of space to relax, and you can enjoy the lively atmosphere without splurging on expensive restaurants nearby
Royal Botanical Gardens

I suggest bringing a hat and sunscreen. The sun can be pretty intense, and I regretted not packing these essentials. You'll want to spend hours enjoying the beautiful gardens, so protect yourself!

Make sure to check out the small cafe inside! I found their prices reasonable and had a delicious snack without breaking the bank. I think it’s a good way to recharge during your visit.

I recommend going on a weekday if you can. It was much less crowded when I went on a Tuesday, making it way easier to take photos and soak in the scenery without feeling rushed
Bamboo Cathedral
Argyle Falls

I think wearing sturdy footwear is key! The trail can be slippery and muddy, so save yourself the drama of slipping by wearing proper shoes.

i suggest bringing cash for the entrance fee, since they don't accept cards. it’s super annoying to have to trek back to find an atm, trust me, i learned the hard way.
Pigeon Point

My advice is to explore the nearby trails around 4 PM. There’s less heat, and the lighting is gorgeous for photos. I wish I did that instead of just lounging all day!

I suggest bringing your own snacks and drinks. The beach bar is a bit pricey, and I totally regretted spending too much on a simple sandwich. Plus, it’s great to just chill with your own stuff.
Emperor Valley Zoo

If you're planning to see everything in one go, that's a bit much! I recommend pacing yourself and taking breaks in the shady areas. You'll enjoy your time way more without feeling rushed.

I think it's a good idea to visit early in the morning, around 9 AM. It gets crowded fast after that and you'll miss some great animal interactions. Plus, the weather is cooler!
My advice is to bring snacks and water. The food options in the zoo aren't great and can be pricey, so having your own stuff can really save you some dough.
Pitch Lake

I think you should wear old shoes if you can. The lake is super muddy, and I regretted wearing my new sneakers!
I suggest bringing cash for the entry fee as they don’t accept cards. I almost missed out because I didn’t have enough!
