Consider visiting on a weekday if you can; it'll be less crowded than weekends, and you'll have a more peaceful experience

If you're not a fan of cold weather, plan your visit between late spring and early fall. The views are breathtaking, and the temperatures are much more enjoyable then.

I suggest downloading an offline map before you go. GPS can be tricky in the mountains, and you don't want to get lost!

Check the weather the night before. It changed on us, and we didn't bring rain gear; hiking in the rain is not fun!
Kackar Mountains

Bring cash! Some villages don't accept cards, and you'll want to shop local. I learned this the hard way when I couldn't buy some amazing handmade crafts.

I totally recommend hitting the trails early, like around 7 AM. The views are gorgeous in the morning light, and you'll beat the crowds. Trust me, it makes a big difference for photos and just enjoying the peace.
Mount Spil

Bring some snacks and water along – the trails can be more challenging than they seem, and I noticed some options for food were closed when we got there peak hours. Planning ahead saves time and keeps your energy up!

Check the weather before you go – it can change quickly up there! I went with friends and ended up getting caught in a light shower... A little rain doesn’t ruin the fun, but we should’ve packed light jackets!

Make sure to bring a power bank for your phone! There are stunning views everywhere, and I found myself snapping so many photos, my phone died before we finished exploring. Capture those memories!
