Gulhane Park
Don't rush through it! Take your time to explore different corners of the park - there are sometimes hidden spots that offer beautiful views and photo ops!
Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. The pathways are lovely but can get a bit uneven - I wish I had left my flip-flops at home!
There's a little cafe in the park that has great views. I suggest stopping by for a cup of Turkish tea; it’s not pricey and the ambiance is just fab.
Saklikent National Park
I'd suggest starting your visit around 9 AM. It's less crowded and the weather is cooler for exploring.
If you're planning to walk through the gorge, wear waterproof shoes. Trust me, you'll get wet! Those river crossings can be a splash zone!
grab a cheap lunch from the local cafés nearby. there's nothing like fresh gözleme while enjoying the river views
Uludag National Park
Try to take the cable car in the morning, around 9 AM. There's less crowd, and you'll have the best chance to enjoy the views with fewer people around. Trust me, it's totally worth it.
I suggest checking the weather before you go. It can change quickly up there! When I visited, I wasn’t prepared for the chilly winds and missed out on some views. Bring layers just in case!
Yildiz Park
Wear comfortable shoes! The park is quite large and you’ll want to explore all the hidden corners without your feet killing you
Karaalioglu Park
Bring a light jacket or sweater, especially if you're staying till evening. The breeze can get chilly, and I wasn't prepared for it at all.
If you want to save some cash, find the public parking lots a little farther from the park. The closer ones charge a lot, and it’s an easy walk from a bit further out.
Kugulu Park
I recommend checking out the paddle boats, but go on a weekday if you can. Weekends can get real busy and the line is sooo long
Goreme National Park
I think you should pack snacks and plenty of water. Food options inside the park are limited and a bit pricey
My advice is to wear comfy shoes! The terrain can be uneven, and trust me, you don’t want to ruin your day limping around.
Buyuk Park
My advice is to check out the little boat rentals on the pond. They’re super fun and not too pricey—way better than just walking around!
Dikmen Valley
Look out for the small art installations scattered around; they’re often overlooked. I found a cool one near a bench that made my day.
Incilipinar Governor Recep Yazicioglu Cultural Park
I recommend visiting early in the day, around 8 AM, to enjoy a quiet stroll before the crowds show up. The morning light is perfect for pictures too!
Pack some water and snacks if you're planning to stay a while. I forgot mine and found the prices in the park a bit steep.
