Museums in Ukraine:
Museum of the History of Ukraine in World War II
My advice is to grab the audio guide! It really helped me understand the displays better, and for a small fee, it’s worth it.
I suggest checking out the outdoor exhibits first, especially the giant Motherland statue—it’s a great photo op! You can get some good pics without the crowds there.
City Arsenal of Lviv
National Museum of National Architecture and Pobutu Ukraine
Bring a decent pair of walking shoes! The outdoor exhibits require some walking, and my feet were killing me by the end of the day.
I suggest getting there right when they open at 10 AM. The morning crowd is pretty light, and you can explore without feeling rushed.
State Aviation Museum of Ukraine
Make sure to wear comfy shoes! The outdoor exhibits can require quite a bit of walking, and you'll want to explore everything without sore feet holding you back
Lvivarnya
The Arsenal of Arms
Memorial of the Heroic Defense of Odessa
If you're interested in history, take your time reading the plaques. My first instinct was to rush through, but slowing down made my visit so much richer!
National Museum of Natural History of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine
The Museum of Water
I recommend keeping an eye on the time in the gift shop. It can be tempting to browse forever, but I lost 30 minutes I didn’t plan for!
I think it’s worth checking out the little café inside. Grab a snack there so you can take your time exploring instead of leaving for lunch.
Experimentanium
I suggest visiting on a weekday if you can like Tuesday or Wednesday it’s way less crowded and you’ll have more time to enjoy the exhibits. I went on a Saturday and it was packed!
