I think checking the weather beforehand is a must. We got caught in a drizzle, and it made things a bit tricky. Always better to be prepared for changing conditions!

My advice is to wear good climbing shoes – I thought mine were fine, but they were super uncomfortable after a few hours. You'll enjoy the experience way more if your feet aren't screaming!

Patricia October 23, 2024

I suggest bringing some snacks or a packed lunch. The local eateries can be pricey and it's nice to have a little energy boost while climbing without breaking the bank.

If you're planning to rent equipment, try to go in the morning right when they open at 9 AM. You’ll have better availability and it’s usually quieter.

I think bringing your own snacks or lunch is a good move. The nearby food options can be a little pricey and there's nothing like a good meal after a climb!

If you're going to rent gear, I'd say check it out online first! Renting on-site can sometimes be a bit chaotic during peak hours.

You should def buy your tickets online in advance. The line can get pretty long, and I wasted about 30 minutes waiting, which could've been spent exploring!

user avatar
Andrew October 20, 2024

Try to catch the 1:30 PM tour if you can. The tour guide was really engaging, and I overheard that the later tours can feel a bit rushed. Also, take your time in the gift shop after!
