Angels Landing Trail

Consider booking shuttle tickets in advance. They sell out fast during peak season, and you don’t want to waste time waiting around.

Start your hike early, around 6 AM, to avoid the crowds and the heat. Trust me; it's way more peaceful and you get to enjoy the sunrise!

Pack enough water and snacks. I underestimated how thirsty I’d get and ended up regretting not bringing more. Carry at least 2 liters!

Wear good hiking shoes with grip. The last section is pretty steep and precarious. I slipped a bit with my old sneakers – not fun!
Cathedral Rock Trail

I recommend checking the weather before you go... It got cloudy for me and the views were not as stunning... A clear day is worth planning for!

I think wearing sturdy shoes is a must! I wore sneakers and slipped a lot on the rocky parts. A good pair of hiking boots will save you from a faceplant!
Emerald Lake Trail

Take your time and enjoy the scenery! I rushed my hike and missed some beautiful spots. Just relax, snap some pics, and soak it all in. It’s not a race!

I highly recommend hitting the trail early, like around 7 AM. You'll beat the crowds and get those gorgeous morning views without too much noise. Plus, it's a lot cooler then!

Bring some snacks and plenty of water. I ran out of water on the way back which made it a bit rough for me. You'll appreciate the energy boost from a quick snack trust me.
Mount Lafayette and Franconia Ridge Trail Loop

Pack snacks and plenty of water but avoid the overpriced stuff at the visitor center. A sandwich from home goes a long way!
Vernal and Nevada Falls via Mist Trail

I recommend starting your hike around 7 AM to catch the sunrise over the falls. It's super beautiful and there are way fewer people on the trail at that hour.

I suggest packing a lightweight poncho or quick-dry towel. The spray from Nevada Falls got me a bit soaked, but I loved it. Just be ready for it.
Delicate Arch Trail

If you want stunning photos, try to visit around sunset. The light hitting the arch is magical, and you'll get fewer people in your shots.

Don't try to rush it; take your time to enjoy the views along the trail. I sprinted up and missed some amazing spots!

I recommend wearing layers; the weather can change quickly up there. It was chilly in the morning and warm by noon, so I was glad I could adapt!

Bring extra snacks and plenty of water! You'll be burning energy, and trust me, the views are worth some extra calories.
Point Lobos Loop Trail

Get there around 8 AM. The parking fills up fast, and you don't want to be scrambling for a spot. Plus, the morning light is gorgeous for photos!

I recommend downloading a trail map or using a GPS; some parts can get a bit confusing. It saved me from wandering off track!

Bring a packed lunch. There are some stunning views where you can sit and eat without shelling out cash at the local spots

Take your time on the loop! Some spots are easy to miss if you rush. I suggest stopping and soaking in the views—there's nothing like it.
Devils Bridge

Watch out for some steep parts on the trail. I found it a bit harder than I expected, so wear good hiking shoes – your feet will thank you later!

I suggest checking the weather before you go. It rained on me and the rocks got super slippery. It ruined my fun a little, but lesson learned!

look for some free parking spots on the side of the road, instead of paying at the main lot. it saved me a few bucks and it wasn’t too far of a walk!
Chautauqua Trail

I suggest bringing plenty of water and some snacks. The trails can get pretty long and you don’t wanna be caught hungry out there. Trust me, I learned that the hard way!

Also if you can aim to start your hike around 8 AM. You'll beat the crowds and enjoy the sunrise – it's totally worth it.

If you're looking to save some cash, consider packing a picnic instead of dining at nearby restaurants. There are some stunning spots along the trail where you can enjoy your meal!
