Angels Landing Trail
Pack enough water and snacks. I underestimated how thirsty I’d get and ended up regretting not bringing more. Carry at least 2 liters!
Wear good hiking shoes with grip. The last section is pretty steep and precarious. I slipped a bit with my old sneakers – not fun!
Cathedral Rock Trail
I think wearing sturdy shoes is a must! I wore sneakers and slipped a lot on the rocky parts. A good pair of hiking boots will save you from a faceplant!

Bring some snacks and plenty of water. I ran out of water on the way back which made it a bit rough for me. You'll appreciate the energy boost from a quick snack trust me.
Mount Lafayette and Franconia Ridge Trail Loop
Pack snacks and plenty of water but avoid the overpriced stuff at the visitor center. A sandwich from home goes a long way!
Vernal and Nevada Falls via Mist Trail
I suggest packing a lightweight poncho or quick-dry towel. The spray from Nevada Falls got me a bit soaked, but I loved it. Just be ready for it.

Consider visiting during the shoulder seasons, like late spring or early fall. The weather is perfect, and it’s less crowded than summer.
Grinnell Glacier Trail
check the accessibility of the boat shuttle to get to the trailhead. it saves you a lot of hiking time—definitely worth it if you’re short on daylight.
I recommend wearing layers; the weather can change quickly up there. It was chilly in the morning and warm by noon, so I was glad I could adapt!
Bring extra snacks and plenty of water! You'll be burning energy, and trust me, the views are worth some extra calories.
Point Lobos Loop Trail
Bring a packed lunch. There are some stunning views where you can sit and eat without shelling out cash at the local spots
Take your time on the loop! Some spots are easy to miss if you rush. I suggest stopping and soaking in the views—there's nothing like it.
Devils Bridge
I suggest checking the weather before you go. It rained on me and the rocks got super slippery. It ruined my fun a little, but lesson learned!
look for some free parking spots on the side of the road, instead of paying at the main lot. it saved me a few bucks and it wasn’t too far of a walk!
Chautauqua Trail
Also if you can aim to start your hike around 8 AM. You'll beat the crowds and enjoy the sunrise – it's totally worth it.
If you're looking to save some cash, consider packing a picnic instead of dining at nearby restaurants. There are some stunning spots along the trail where you can enjoy your meal!
