The Slipper Room

Be aware of the two-drink minimum per person. I kind of forgot about it and it added a bit to my bill – just something to keep in mind!

Grab drinks before the show. I think the bar prices are a bit steep, so hitting up a nearby happy hour spot can save a few bucks

I suggest you arrive by 8 PM to snag a good spot. The later it gets, the more crowded it becomes and you might miss out on great performances from the start.
Radio City Music Hall

I suggest checking out the seating chart in advance. I got lucky with a great seat, but some spots have obstructed views. Aim for the center if you can!

Grab a bite at one of the nearby delis or cafes before the show. Eating close by saves time and keeps you fueled for the fun ahead!

When you buy tickets, check for deals on the official website or reputable discount sites. I saved a decent amount compared to regular prices.

If you can, try to catch a weekday show instead of a weekend one. It felt less crowded, and you might snag cheaper tickets. Plus, the vibe is just as fantastic!
Hollywood Bowl

Wear comfy shoes! You'll be doing a decent amount of walking up and down the hilly paths—trust me, your feet will thank you.

Pack a picnic! You can bring your own food and drinks, which saves money and makes for a fun pre-show meal on the lawn

Get there early, around 5 PM, to snag a good parking spot and soak up the vibes before the show starts. It gets packed fast!
Fox Theater

I suggest parking in a nearby lot instead of at the theater. I saved some cash and it was a short walk plus the area is pretty nice.

My advice is to arrive at least an hour early. The line to get in can be longer than you’d think, especially on busy nights.
Definitely check the schedule ahead of time! I missed out on some awesome shows because I didn’t realize they had a weekend special running.

Grab a bite at a nearby diner instead of the venue's concessions. I spent too much on snacks that were ehhh when I could've had a great meal.
Adult Superstore

I think bringing cash can save you some money since they have discounts for cash purchases on certain items, which I wish I had known before!

My advice is to visit during the weekday afternoons; it’s way less crowded, and you can take your time exploring everything without feeling rushed.
Deja Vu Love Boutique

I think it’s best to visit during the weekday evenings. The crowd is usually smaller, and you can explore without feeling rushed. I went on a Saturday, and it was super busy!

My advice is to sign up for their email list before you go. They often send out discounts and special promotions that can save you a few bucks on your visit

I suggest checking out the VIP section if you want a more private experience. I didn't think it was worth it at first, but it really elevated my night!
Chicago Theater

I recommend checking for parking deals on apps like SpotHero. I found a localized garage that was just a short walk away, which saved me some cash!

If you're a foodie like me, grab a bite nearby before the show. There's tons of awesome cafes around; I went to Lou Malnati’s for some deep dish pizza, yum!

I think wearing layers is key! The theater can be a bit chilly inside, but it’s hot outside, so dress smart to be comfy throughout your visit.
TCL Chinese Theater

Do the handprint footprint walk around. It's a cool way to feel connected to celebs, but don't spend too much time there. It gets packed!

I suggest checking for online ticket deals before you go. I saved a few bucks that way, and it felt great to have cash for snacks!

Get there early, like around 9 AM. The crowds start rolling in later, and you’ll get to take some epic photos without people in the way

My advice is to skip the gift shop unless you're dying for a souvenir. I found better prices on Hollywood memorabilia just down the street.
Deja Vu Adult Emporium

My advice is to check for any special events or performances on their website before you go. I totally missed out on a themed night that sounded fun!

If you want a good seat for the shows, try to arrive around 7:30 PM. I got there a bit late, and ended up in the back where the view wasn’t that great.

I recommend going on a weekday if you can. It's way less crowded and you can really enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
Apollo

I suggest arriving at least 30 minutes early to soak in the vibe and snap some pics outside. You’ll want time to check out the awesome murals and grab a quick snack nearby!

My advice is to go for the free shows at the Apollo. They have Amateur Night on Wednesdays, and it was such a blast! You get to see new talent and it’s way cheaper than big-name acts.

If you can, try to catch a 2 PM matinee. When I went in the evening, it was super crowded and hard to find good seats. Plus, you can enjoy dinner in the area after!
