Dominique Ansel Bakery

I think it's best to avoid weekends if you can. Too much crowds made it hard to enjoy, and I had to wait longer than I liked

My advice is to take a quick peek at their menu online before you go. It can help you decide what to get ahead of time and not feel rushed.

If you're on a budget, consider sharing a few items. The portions can be pretty generous, and you'll get to try more without spending too much.

I recommend trying their famous Cronut, but get there early. They sell out fast, and trust me, you don’t want to miss it.
Levain Bakery

I suggest you go around 8 AM right when they open. It’s way less crowded, and you get the freshest cookies – nothing beats that warm gooey goodness!

My advice is to try the chocolate chip walnut cookie; it’s so huge and filling that I’d recommend sharing it unless you’re really hungry.
If you can, skip the hype and try the seasonal specials too. I had a pumpkin spice cookie that was divine, way better than the regular ones!
Tatte Bakery & Cafe

My advice is to check the seasonal specials on the menu; I had a berry tart that was incredible. But don’t forget to ask about it, they might run out!

If you’re planning on taking pastries to-go, consider avoiding peak times, especially weekends after 10 AM... It gets super crowded, and you might miss out on your fave treats!

I think you should take a moment to enjoy the decor. It’s cozy and perfect for a quick photo op. Just don’t get lost in snaping pics and forget to order!

I suggest trying the almond croissant – it was to die for! Also, get there before 9 AM to avoid the long lines that form when they open. Trust me on this.
Weber's

Definately grab a slice of their cake to go! The portions are generous, and I ended up sharing mine. They pack it up nicely too, so it's great for a picnic if the weather's nice.
I suggest trying their hot chocolate; it’s rich and creamy! Just note, it can be a bit pricey, so consider getting a smaller size if you're on a budget

I highly reccomend trying their seasonal pastries; they're always a hit! I got the pumpkin spice treat and it was perfectly spiced. Just be mindful that sometimes they can run out fast, so get there early!

My advice is to check their social media for daily specials. I stumbled upon a delicious buy-one-get-one offer that I wouldn't have known about otherwise!
Tartine Bakery

I recommend hitting Tartine early, around 8 AM, to beat the crazy lines. Trust me, the pastries taste even better when they're fresh and warm!

I think you should definitely try the Morning Bun. It's a local fav and totally worth it – just don’t be surprised if you end up wanting a second one!
D'Amato's

I think their prices are really reasonable, especially considering the quality, but if you want to save a little cash, look out for daily specials.

i recommend hitting d'amato's right when they open at 7 am. the pastries are super fresh and you'll beat the line!

Try their signature cannoli but my advice is to buy a few because you'll wish you had more after tasting one!
Dinkel's
Macrina Bakery

I think you should check out their seasonal items. I was surprised by how good the pumpkin bread was when I visited in the fall. Sometimes, the limited-time goodies are the best.

I suggest visiting around 10 AM to avoid the mid-morning rush. It can get pretty busy and the line moves slow when there's a crowd. Plus the pastries are super fresh!
My advice is to try the berry scone! It’s a local favorite and totally worth it. If you can, grab a cup of their coffee to go with it - yum!
Lutz

I think you should check their social media before going. I missed out on a special discount they offered that day! Keeping an eye on their posts could save you some cash.

My advice is to try the seasonal items. I spotted the pumpkin spice treats when I went, and they were just the best! They can disappear fast, so grab them while you can!
