Empire State Building
My advice is to visit around sunset. The views are absolutely magical and you'll get both day and nighttime city vibes in one go.
If you go on a weekday instead of the weekend, it’ll likely be less crowded. I went on a Tuesday and it was a totally different experience compared to the weekend.
Bellagio
Try the Bellagio Buffet for breakfast. It’s a bit pricey, but trust me, the variety is worth it. Just make sure to go right when it opens to avoid long lines.
Get there right before the fountain shows start, around 8 PM. It’s packed, but the atmosphere is electric and you won’t want to miss it! Just don’t forget your camera!
The Fallsview Tourist Area
I suggest checking the weather before you go, especially if you're planning on being outside. I didn't realize it would rain, and I ended up soggy all day!
One thing I wish I knew earlier is to wear comfortable shoes! You'll be walking a lot around the decks and trails, and my feet were killing me by the end of the day.
Rockefeller Center
I wish I had known to wear comfy shoes. There’s a lot of walking and standing, especially if you want to explore the surrounding Rockefeller Plaza and catch the seasonal decorations or events
I recommend visiting during the weekdays, especially early in the morning around 9 am to avoid the weekend crowds. It's way more chill and you can actually enjoy the views without jostling for space.
While the observation deck is a must-do, I suggest also taking a walk around the area. The shops, including the famous Radio City Music Hall, are great, but keep an eye out for street performers. They can be really entertaining.
My advice is to time your visit around sunset. There's nothing like seeing the city turn from vibrant lights to twinkling stars, but book your ticket in advance to get that prime time!
M-G-M Grand
Check out the food court for a quick bite – it’s cheaper than the sit-down restaurants and offers a variety of options. I wish I had discovered it earlier in my visit!
Don’t miss the pool area. I was surprised by how relaxing it was after a busy day. Make sure to grab a lounge chair early in the day, though.
If you're planning to play at the casino, set a budget before you start. I thought I could stick to my limit, but it’s easy to get caught up in the excitement!
Use the monorail for getting around. It's a fun way to travel to nearby attractions without dealing with traffic. Plus, it’ll save you some cash on taxis!
Luxor Hotel and Casino
Don't skip the pool area! Plan to hit it in the late morning—it's less crowded, and you can snag a good lounge chair without the rush.
I recommend getting a players club card when you arrive; it can score you some sweet discounts on meals and shows. Totally worth it!
If you're planning to hit the casino, go after dinner around 8 PM. It gets lively, and you can snag some fun promotions or giveaways.
Treasure Island Hotel & Casino
El Cortez
I noticed the best drink specials are during happy hour. My advice is to sip your cocktails between 5-7 PM to save some cash while enjoying the atmosphere.
If you want some quiet time, try visiting the casino floor later in the evening, like after 10 PM. It’s way more relaxed and easier to find a good spot to play.
The food at the deli is surprisingly good! Grab a bite during off-peak hours to avoid long lines, especially around lunchtime.
Seneca Niagara Resort & Casino
If you plan to eat at one of the restaurants, make a reservation! I didn't, and we had to wait over an hour. Not fun when you're hungry!
I recommend checking out the spa services before hitting the tables. The massages are really relaxing and can help if you're feeling stressed about gambling. Plus, they often have deals during weekdays.
230 Fifth
My advice is to take your time exploring the rooftop. It's spacious, so find a nice spot to chill and enjoy the skyline.
Make sure to arrive around sunset, like 7 PM, to catch both daytime and nighttime city views. It’s a beautiful transition!
I recommend checking if they have any special events or happy hours before your visit. You could snag a good deal on drinks!
If you’re planning to drink, get a pitcher of their cocktails to save some cash. Individual drinks can add up quickly, trust me!
