I recommend visiting around 9 AM when the light is perfect for photos and it’s not too crowded yet. The morning vibe is just serene!
I think you should wear comfortable shoes. The mosque grounds are larger than you might expect, and you'll want to stroll around more!

my advice is to check out the little cafe inside for some local snacks. i had a tasty plov that wasn't too pricey, and it was a nice break before diving back into the exhibits.
I suggest visiting on a weekday afternoon around 2 PM to avoid the crowds. It was much quieter then, and I could appreciate the exhibits without feeling rushed. Plus, you get better photo ops!
