Angel Falls

Don't just take the boat trip to the Falls; make sure to stop at the smaller waterfalls along the way. Those spots are often less crowded and just as beautiful!

Pack a good pair of walking shoes. The trek to the falls involves some hiking, and trust me, flip-flops won’t cut it. Your feet will thank you.

I recommend staying at a local posada in Canaima. It's a bit cheaper than the bigger hotels and gives you a real feel for the place, plus it's super cozy.
Salto Angel

Pack light! You'll be doing a lot of walking and you don’t want to carry a heavy backpak. I took too much stuff and regretted it.

Make sure to wear good water-resistant shoes. I went in flip-flops and regretted every slippery step. Trust me you'll want something with grip!

Consider taking a guided tour. I thought I could do it alone, but having someone knowledgeable made my experience way richer. Plus, you get the inside scoop on the best spots!

If you're planning to do BASE jumping, double-check the weather beforehand. I missed out because the wind conditions were off. Do your research on guides who specialize in this!
