The Marble Mountains

Watch out for the monkeys! They can be a bit aggressive if you have food. I saw one snatch a sandwich right out of someone's hands. Seriously keep your snacks hidden!
Hoan Kiem
Heap Tunnels
Dam Shen Park

The lake area is gorgeous, but the benches fill up fast, especially on weekends. I suggest bringing a lightweight blanket to relax on the grass instead; it worked well for us!

Check the weather before you go; rain can really put a damper on your plans. I got caught in a downpour, and it took some fun out of the experience. A poncho can save your day!

Don't skip the little attractions scattered throughout the park. They can be quite charming and less crowded. I stumbled upon a cool art installation that wasn't in any guide I saw!

Bring a portable charger! I found myself snapping a ton of photos, and my phone battery drained quicker than I expected. Keeping it charged means you won't miss any moments.
Phu Quoc

Bring some snacks and drinks for your beach days. The prices at beachside shops can be a bit steep, and having your own goodies makes for a better day at the beach!

I suggest renting a scooter instead of booking taxi rides. It's super easy to get around the island and gives you the freedom to explore hidden beaches and spots without breaking the bank

Check out Ong Lang Beach in the early morning around 7 AM. It's quiet and perfect for a peaceful swim before the crowds arrive. Plus, the sunrise views are stunning!
Sung Sot Cave
Ban Gioc Waterfall

If you're into photography, try going around 4 PM for that golden hour glow it gives the falls. The photos come out amazing!
Zoo and Botanical Garden
Watch out for the monkeys! They’re super playful but might try to steal your things if you're not careful. I lost a sandwich to one!

I suggest wearing comfy shoes. There’s a lot of walking, and some paths were uneven, which made it harder to enjoy the scenery.

Make sure to bring some snacks! The food inside was a bit pricey, and having a small picnic in the garden was a lovely experience.
Halong Bay

i suggest avoiding the peak season like december to february. i went in march and the weather was perfect, plus it wasn't too crowded! way more enjoyable that way.

I recommend booking a cruise that includes kayaking. Paddling through the caves and floating villages was the highlight for me! A lot of tours skip this, so check before you book.

If you're planning to visit some caves, try to go right when they open at 7 AM. I went later and it was packed. Early birds really do get the best views.
My Khe Beach

My advice is to check the weather before going. I went during a cloudy day, and while it wasn’t bad, the sun really brings out the beach's beauty
If you plan to swim, I recommend going in the early morning around 7 AM. The water is super calm and it's less crowded. I made the mistake of going later and it was a bit hectic.

I suggest you bring your own snacks and drinks! The beachside cafes are nice, but they can be overpriced. I saved quite a bit doing this, plus it means more time relaxing without searching for food.
