Lower Zambezi National Park

I think you should definitely book your game drives in advance. The ones organized by the lodges can fill up fast, and if you're on a budget, some lodges offer discounts for early bookings. I missed out on a great deal because I decided too late!
Monkey Pools

I recommend bringing snacks and a water bottle. It can get really hot and the onsite food isn't the best. Save your money and enjoy a picnic by the pools instead!
Nsumbu National Park

I suggest bringing a good pair of binoculars for birdwatching; I saw some amazing species. Just don’t forget your camera because the sunsets over Lake Tanganyika are stunning.
South Luangwa National Park

My advice is to pack a cooler with drinks and snacks for your game drives—there's nothing like a cold drink while watching lions at dusk. I wish I had thought of this before!

I suggest you book your safari drives with local guides rather than through bigger companies. It can save you a ton of cash and you often get a more personal experience. Plus, some guides know all the good spots for animals!
