Los 36 Billares
Cafe San Bernardo
My advice is to bring some cash, just in case. They have a minimum charge for card payments that caught me off guard.
I think it's worth checking out their happy hour if you're into cocktails. You can save a few bucks that way!
Rush Pilar
Paloko Bowling
My advice is to take cash; sometimes their card machines have issues, and it could save you time waiting around.
Estadio Monumental
I suggest you arrive around 2 hours before the game, the atmosphere is electric, and you can grab some food from nearby vendors before heading in.
If you can, try to sit in the lower tiers; the view is way better than up high. I learned that it's all about being close to the action!
Grand Beach
Check the surf conditions before you go! I found out there are better waves in the morning, around 8-10 AM. It's less crowded and way more fun. If you’re not a pro, consider renting a board nearby instead of buying one.
Bring your own snacks and drinks. Beach vendors can be overpriced. I saved a ton by just packing a cooler with some sandwiches and water. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did.
Try to learn a few Spanish phrases. Most people were friendly, but knowing basic greetings made my interactions way better. Plus, you’ll get more local recommendations that way. It’s a win-win!
