Hotel & Spa Termas Cacheuta
Make sure you pack a good book or some music. The relaxation areas are perfect for chilling out, but you might get bored just waiting around.
My advice is to bring your own snacks. The food there is a bit pricey for what you get, and there are awesome picnic areas to enjoy your food.
If you're planning to hike in the area after your spa day, wear your hike gear. The mountains are beautiful but can be tough if you're not prepared.
I recommend arriving right when they open at 9 AM. The pools are less crowded and you can snag a good spot. Plus, the morning light on the mountains is stunning!
Aconcagua
I suggest taking the 8 AM bus from Mendoza to the park entrance. It gives you plenty of daylight to explore and you can see some amazing views along the way. Getting there early made a huge difference!
I recommend checking the weather forecast frequently. Conditions can change fast, and one day it’s sunny, and the next it’s snowing. I wasn’t prepared for sudden weather changes, and it caught me off guard.
I think it’s super important to acclimatize properly. Spend at least a few days in Mendoza before your trip; it really helps with the altitude. I skipped this part and felt the effects during the hike.
Villavicencio Natural Reserve
Atuel Canyon
Hotel Termas del Sosneado
I recommend bringing your own towels and flip flops to save some cash, because the hotel can charge you for rentals, and trust me, that adds up!
Termas de Cajon Grande
I suggest going on a weekday if you can. The weekends get super crowded, and you’ll spend more time waiting than relaxing. I went on a Thursday and it was a lot more chill!
My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The on-site food can be pricey and not that great. I packed some sandwiches and it totally saved me some cash for the day!
