Los Alerces National Park

Definitely keep an eye out for the wildlife. I was lucky and saw some amazing birds and maybe even a fox! Bring binoculars if you can, it makes a big difference in spotting them.

If you’re into hiking, check out the Los Alerces trail. Super beautiful but don’t forget good shoes! I was unprepared and my feet were killing me after a few hours.

My advice is to bring cash! Some places only accept cash, and you don’t want to miss out on buying souvenirs or snacks because you forgot!

I suggest packing a picnic lunch! There are some great spots near the lake. It saved me money on overpriced snacks and honestly, eating in nature was the highlight of my day.
Cerro Torre

Definitely bring cash! Many places near Cerro Torre only accept cash for food and supplies. I learned this the hard way when I found myself hungry with no way to pay.
Cerro Catedral

my advice is to bring your own snacks and water. prices at the on-mountain shops can be crazy! i ended up spending too much on snacks instead of enjoying the views.

If you're renting gear, book it in advance online. I found out the hard way that the shops near the base can run low on sizes during peak hours, and you might end up wasting time looking around.

I recommend taking the cable car up early, around 8 AM, to beat the crowds. The views are unbeatable, and you can snap a ton of pics without too many people in the frame

I recommend hitting the slopes early, like around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds and get fresh powder. Trust me, it's way better than waiting in long lines later!
