I suggest checking the surf conditions before you go, especially if you're a beginner. The waves can get pretty intense, so waiting for the right day can really make your experience a lot better

If you're looking to save some cash on food, there's a great picnic area just a short walk from the beach. Grab some snacks from the local grocery store instead of pricey cafes. Trust me, you'll be glad you did!

don't forget to bring a small waterproof bag for your phone or camera, especially if you're planning on getting close to the water. i almost ruined my phone taking a picture!

Bring a light jacket! It can be surprisingly cool down there, even in the summer. I regretted not having one after a few minutes in the cave

I think the audio guide is super helpful, but I suggest bringing your own headphones to avoid sharing those old ones they have. Also, it cuts down on wait time if you go when it first opens at 9 AM.

i recommend taking your time to enjoy the light show in the main chamber. i rushed through it and regretted not stopping to really appreciate the colors and formations. trust me, it's worth a few extra minutes!

I recommend checking out the cultural sites early in the day, like the Nourlangie Rock Art. I did it in the morning, and it was way less crowded, making for a better experience

If you're planning to camp, bring your own firewood! I found it super pricey to buy it at the park. Plus, make sure you grab a good map at the visitor center since some trails can be tricky to navigate

I suggest heading out early, like around 7 AM, to beat the heat. You'll also get stunning sunrise views over the Bungle Bungles! It’s totally worth setting that alarm.
