I recommend checking their website for special events before you go. I missed a tasting session that sounded awesome!

I suggest walking around the winery first. The views are stunning, and it warms you up for the tastings. Don't rush into the wine; let the scenery set the mood!

I think if you're on a budget, skip the premium tastings. The regular ones were still really good and way more affordable. Plus, the staff were super friendly!
Liszt Winery Heuriger Manufactory

If you can, aim to visit during the weekday. I found it much less crowded, and that way you really get to soak in the vibe without feeling rushed. Plus, the staff was super attentive when it wasn't packed.

My advice is to check out their outdoor seating. We almost missed it, but the views are stunning, especially around sunset. Grab a seat there for a more relaxed experience.

I suggest getting their wine pairing options! I didn't realize how well the dishes complemented the wines, and I regretted not trying it. Totally worth the extra cash, trust me!
Esterhazy Winery

I had a blast trying different wines, but don’t skip the cheese platter! It totally complements the tasting. Just enough for two to share, and it’s economical too!

bring a light jacket if you’re doing an outdoor tasting. it got a bit chilly in the evening – definitely caught me off guard

My advice is to book your wine tasting session in advance if you can. I tried just walking in and it was super busy. Almost missed out on the good stuff.
Weingut Umathum

My advice is to ask the staff about food pairings with the wines, they really know their stuff. I did this and discovered a perfect match I never would have thought of!

I recommend grabbing a bottle of their local wine to take home, but check if there's any discount for buying in bulk. I got a couple of bottles, but if I knew you could save more, I'd have brought home a few extra!

I suggest trying to go on a weekday, like Tuesday or Wednesday, since it's way less crowded and you can enjoy the tastings without feeling rushed. My experience was definitely more relaxed!
Szigeti Sparkling Wine Cellar

I think it’s a good idea to bring a notebook to jot down your favorites. I lost track of what I liked during the tasting, and now I can’t remember what to order again!
Gut Oggau
Meinklang

I think it's worth grabbing a bite at their bistro rather than going into town. The food is fresh and pairs excellently with the wine; it's a hidden gem for sure

If you're into exploring, take a stroll through the vineyards before or after your tasting. The views are stunning in the early morning or late afternoon light, plus it's a great photo op!
