Talstation Kitzsteinhorn

My advice is to rent your gear in Kaprun instead of at the slopes. It's way cheaper, and you won't feel rushed to return it at the end of the day when you're exhausted.

I think it's worthwhile to check the weather before heading out. The conditions can change fast, and I’d hate for you to miss the best snow conditions like I did once!

Don’t forget to take advantage of the free ski bus from Kaprun. It's super convenient and saves you from parking hassles. Plus, it gives you a chance to meet other fellow riders!

I suggest buying your lift pass online in advance. It saves you time in line and sometimes you can find discount deals too. Trust me, waiting is the worst.
Gletscherjet

If you're renting equipment, check online deals beforehand. I found a rental shop in Kaprun that had better prices than the ones on the mountain.

Bring your own lunch or snacks to save money on food. The mountain restaurants are pricey, and I was shocked by the meal costs!
Eisriesenwelt Ice Cave

Don't skip the hike to the entrance! It's beautiful and really sets the mood. Just wear good shoes, because it can get slippery.

I recommend grabbing some snacks at the café before the tour. Food is pretty pricey up there, and you’re gonna want some energy for the walk back.

Check the weather! It can get freezing in the cave compared to outside, so layering up is a smart move. I had to borrow a jacket from my friend!

Be ready for a bit of a wait if you’re going in peak season. We went at 10 AM and it was packed! Maybe coming around 4 PM would give you shorter lines.
Salzburgring

I suggest checking the schedule for events in advance. Certain race days are way more packed and you don’t want to miss the action or deal with long lines!

If you’re planning to take pictures, bring a decent zoom lens. Some parts of the track are a bit far for your phone camera to capture the best moments.

I recommend wearing comfortable shoes! You’ll be walking a lot around the track and it can get tiring if you're not prepared.

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. Food on-site can be overpriced, and having some personal favorites makes the day much more enjoyable.
Skicircus Saalbach-Hinterglemm
Avenida Mountain Resort Kaprun

I suggest booking your lift tickets online ahead of time. I saved a few euros compared to buying them at the resort. Every little bit counts, right?

I think timing your slopes is key. Mornings are less crowded, so hitting the slopes by 8:30 AM let me enjoy fresh powder without the long lift lines!

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. The on-site restaurants can be a bit pricey, and there were a couple of times I regretted not packing something cheaper.
Schladminger Tauern High Trail

Make sure to wear good hiking boots. I learned the hard way when my shoes gave me blisters after the first few hours. A bit of comfort goes a long way!
Kohlschnait Alm Parcours
Familienberg Maiskogel
Reitschule Mösl-Haregg

My advice is to wear riding boots if you have them. Sneakers might be okay, but that little extra grip on boots made my ride way more enjoyable!

I suggest booking your riding lessons ahead of time, especially on weekends. It gets busy, and I almost missed my spot because I didn’t plan ahead.
