Classic Village Viewpoint

Keep an eye on the weather! It can change quickly in the mountains. I got caught in a surprise shower, so bringing a light rain jacket or umbrella might save your experience!

Don't miss out on the nearby salt mine! It was a highlight for me. A combo ticket can save you some cash compared to buying things separately, so do look into that.

If you're visiting in peak tourist season, be prepared for a bustling crowd around midday. I’d recommend visiting on a weekday if possible to avoid the busiest times and enjoy a more serene experience.
Take the funicular up, but consider hiking down. The views while walking back to the village are breathtaking, and it's a great way to dig into the surroundings at your own pace.
Schlossmuseum Linz

Definitely check for any special exhibits before you go. I walked in and found some awesome contemporary art that wasn't on their website. It made the visit way more interesting!

My advice is to grab a coffee at their café afterward; the views from the terrace are stunning and it’s a great way to soak it all in. You don't want to miss that!

If you're visiting on a Saturday, go around 4 PM. It's less crowded, and I felt like I had the place to myself. Just avoid Sunday mornings, it gets packed!
Salzwelten Shop Hallstatt

When you're buying souvenirs, check if there are any combo deals. I got a nice discount buying a couple of items together. Saved me quite a bit!

Don't rush through the exhibition. Take your time, read the info and appreciate the architecture. I missed some cool details because I was in a hurry!
