St. Stephen's Cathedral
Rathausplatz

If you're planning a visit during the summer, look out for free outdoor concerts and events in the plaza. I stumbled upon one and it was a nice surprise!

Bring a picnic. There are lovely green spaces around the Rathaus, so grab some snacks from a local shop and enjoy them in the park. It saves some cash and gives you a nice break.

Definitely check out the Rathaus in the evening when it's all lit up—it's stunning! I think the atmosphere is more magical then and you can enjoy the nearby Christmas market if you're there in winter.

If you want to save time and avoid crowds, try to arrive by 9 AM. The early hours are quieter and you can enjoy the sights without too many people around.
Museum Quarter
Maria Theresa Square

I highly recommend visiting around 9 AM when it’s less crowded. You’ll get amazing photos without tons of people in the background. Plus, the light is perfect for pictures!

I thought I’d spend just an hour, but ended up staying longer. So, plan for at least 2-3 hours to fully enjoy everything and explore the surrounding area.

I suggest bringing a light snack or picnic. There are plenty of benches to sit on, and it saves you money, compared to overpriced cafes around.

If you're into art, don't miss the Kunsthistorisches Museum right next door. I think buying a combo ticket can save you some cash.
Karlskirche
Hundertwasser House

If you want some stunning pics, try visiting during golden hour (around sunset). The colors pop off the building and it’s way less crowded too!

I suggest checking the weather before you go. It's an outdoor sight and it can get pretty dreary in rain. Plan accordingly to avoid soggy sneakers!

I think it’s worth taking a guided tour, but be sure to double-check if they have availability on the day you visit. I missed out on a great one because I didn't check ahead

I recommend going to Hundertwasser House during the early morning, around 9 AM. You'll beat the crowds and snag some sweet photos without loads of tourists in the way.
Anker Clock
Church of the Vow
St. Peter's Church
Imperial Crypt

There are actually some small shops nearby where you can get souvenirs, rather than getting them inside the crypt. My advice is to check those out before you leave to save on overpriced gifts!

I suggest visiting on a weekday, ideally around 2 PM. It was much quieter then, and I could actually enjoy the architecture without bumping into crowds.

If you're planning to take photos, be mindful of the lighting. I found the low light conditions tricky. A good camera with decent low-light capability would help a lot.
