Schоnbrunn Palace

Look for combo tickets if you plan on visiting other attractions in Vienna. I saved some money that way. It was a surprise for me how many discounts were available!

I suggest eating before you go. The food inside the palace cafe was a bit pricey and not as good as I expected. Instead, I grabbed a snack from a bakery nearby and saved some cash.

Definitely go early, like around 8:00 AM... The crowds are way thinner, and you'll get better photos without people photobombing you... I wish I had done this!

My advice is to grab the audio guide. It’s not expensive and really enhances the experience. You’ll get tons of interesting info that you can’t find anywhere else. It made everything more enjoyable for me!
Hofburg

Get there right when it opens at 9 AM to avoid the crowds. I did this and had a much better experience wandering around without feeling rushed.

Take a stroll through the beautiful gardens afterward. It’s a great way to unwind and it's free – I almost skipped them but was glad I didn't!

Consider booking your tickets online in advance. I saved some cash and time by skipping the long ticket line.

I suggest checking out the audio guide. It adds so much context to the exhibits. I found some hidden gems I would have missed otherwise.
Museum of Applied Arts

I suggest buying the combined ticket online to save a few Euros and jump the line. It's super handy, trust me.

If you can, visit on a Monday or Tuesday. The crowds are way thinner, and you can take your time enjoying the exhibits without feeling rushed.

Make sure to check out the museum shop! It's got some unique stuff, and I found a really cool gift for a friend. Prices are reasonable too!

I think you should plan for about 2-3 hours. I rushed through and missed a lot, so don't make my mistake! Take your time and absorb the art
Museum of Natural History

Take your time in the gem and mineral section. It's stunning and I felt like I could spend an hour just there. Snap photos; it’s very Instagram-worthy!

Plan for at least three hours. I thought I'd be done in two, but there's so much to see, especially the dinosaur exhibits. I ended up rushing through the last part!

Visit on a weekday if you can; it gets super crowded on weekends and holidays. I went on a Tuesday and had a much more relaxed experience.
Check out their temporary exhibits ahead of time. I missed one that I really wanted to see because I didn't know about it. It can be a game-changer for your visit.
Albertina Gallery

I think grabbing a snack at the cafe inside is worth it... The views while you eat are fantastic and it’s a nice break before you go back to exploring

Don't forget to take advantage of the free audio guides. They offer cool insights about the art that you might miss otherwise. It helped me a ton.

If you're looking for a quieter time, try to go right when they open at 10 AM. I found it much easier to see everything without feeling rushed.
Museum of Art History

I suggest you spend some time in the museum cafe. The coffee and pastries are a nice break. Plus, you can relax and recharge for more exploring!

Honestly, check the museum's website for any special exhibitions before you go. I didn't, and I found out about a Van Gogh exhibit happening right after my visit—total bummer!

Plan to take a break and hit the gift shop! They have cool art books and unique souvenirs. I spent way more than I planned, but I don't regret any of it.

If you're into the finer things, don't miss the Egyptian collection. I think it’s often overlooked, but there are some amazing artifacts that really blew my mind.
Vienna Technical Museum
Military History Museum

If you're on a budget, consider visiting on the first Sunday of the month when entry is free. I missed that detail and paid full price, which was a bummer!

I recommend checking out the gift shop at the end. They had some unique souvenirs that were way cooler than the usual touristy stuff!

I suggest spending more time in the outdoor exhibits. You can really see some impressive vehicles up close and I thought they were a standout part of the museum!

If you're a fan of WWII history, focus on that section first. It's a real highlight and I thought it deserved way more time than I initially planned.
Belvedere 21

I suggest going around 3 PM to avoid the crowds. I went earlier and it felt a bit cramped with all the people. Later, it was way more chill.
I recommend checking out the special exhibitions online before you go. They sometimes have temporary shows that might be totally worth your time, and it was great to plan around those.

Don’t skip the café inside! I found their coffee and cake delightful and pretty reasonably priced. A nice chill spot to relax a bit before heading back out.
I think it’s smart to grab the audio guide if you’re into the details. It added so much context to the art I saw and really made the visit more enjoyable for me.
The KunstHouseVienna
I think the audio guide is worth it! It really enriches the experience and gives you some background info that you might miss otherwise.

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. You’ll end up walking and standing quite a bit, especially with the cool installations that catch your eye everywhere!
