I suggest taking the audio guide if you can, it really brings the exhibits to life! I missed out by not getting one, and I think it would have made the experience much more engaging

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. The fortress is huge and you'll be doing a lot of walking. I regretted it when my feet started to ache halfway through.

I think visiting early in the morning, around 9 AM, is a great idea! It’s way less crowded, and you get a chance to really take in the history without feeling rushed. Plus, you'll grab the best parking spots!

I recommend packing some snacks and water. There are limited options inside and it can get pretty pricey. I ended up looking for food in a hurry instead of enjoying the exhibits!
