Bring cash! A lot of local vendors only take cash, especially if you're looking for those delicious beach snacks. I wish I had brought more instead of relying on my card.

Grab a local guide on the beach - they know the best spots for swimming and can even help you find areas without crowds. I met this guy who brought us to the perfect reef!
Bargain for everything! Prices were pretty high for tourists but I got a killer deal on a beach umbrella just by asking nicely and haggling a bit.

Watch the tides! Some areas are shallow and great for swimming during high tide but not so much during low. I didn’t check and ended up walking a lot further!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes and bring a towel. You’ll end up walking a lot in the sand, and it can get hot on your feet. Plus, a towel is handy for drying off after a swim!

Make sure to check the weather before you go. My trip got dampened by unexpected rain, which made some trails muddy and hard to navigate!

Consider hiring a local guide; they know the best spots that aren’t super crowded. I missed some hidden gems because I explored on my own!

I suggest going right after sunrise, around 6 AM. The light is beautiful for photos and the temperatures are much cooler.

Honestly, I found the entrance fee a bit high for non-Brazilians. Make sure to check online for any discounts or combo tickets to save some cash.

I think you should carry plenty of water and snacks. There are areas where you're miles away from any food stalls, and trust me, you'll get hungry after all that hiking!

I recommend visiting between 6 AM and 8 AM for the best light for photos and way less crowds. It really makes a difference!

My advice is to rent a 4x4 vehicle. The roads can get pretty rough, and a good car saves you time and gives you more freedom to explore.

i think it's totally worth hiking to the mirante da lagoa do matry. the view is incredible, but make sure to wear sturdy shoes; i learned that the hard way when my flip-flops gave out!

Don’t forget to pack a reusable water bottle! There are spots to refill, and it helped me save money instead of buying plastic bottles all day.

I recommend bringing cash, especially for local food stalls and activities. Some places don't take cards, and you'll miss out on delicious snacks if you’re not prepared!
Jeribucacu Beach

Definitely bring cash! There aren’t many ATMs nearby, and some beachside bars don’t accept cards. I ran out of cash and missed out on some delicious snacks!
Botanical Garden of Recife
Check the weather before you go! I went on a cloudy day and missed out on some beautiful sunlight for photos. Clear skies will make your visit even better.

Don't forget your bug spray. I got bitten a few times, and it took away from the experience. Those pesky bugs love the lush plants!
Wear comfy shoes because you’ll do a bit of walking. Not super intense, but the paths can be uneven, and you don't want to be uncomfortable while enjoying the scenery.

If you’re trying to surf check the tides first. I thought I could just dive in and ended up paddling against strong currents. Best times are during mid to high tide.
I recommend bringing some kind of water shoes for the rocky areas. It made my day so much easier and I could focus more on the waves and less on my feet!

Don't miss the hike down to the beach; it’s a bit steep but totally worth it for the stunning views! I suggest going around 8 AM for the best lighting and fewer people.

Bring your own snacks and drinks. The beach has limited options and they can be pricey. I learned this the hard way, so save some cash.
