Pirin National Park

Don’t underestimate the weather! I thought it’d be warm in late spring, but it was chilly. I suggest layering your clothes so you can adjust during the day.

Check out the information center near Bansko for maps and trail suggestions. It helped me a lot, and the staff were super friendly and knew the best spots!

If you're on a budget, pack your own snacks and lunch. The little cafes inside the park can be pricey, and trust me, the views while you eat in nature are totally worth it.

Get to the park first thing in the morning, around 8 AM, to snag parking and enjoy the trails before they get busy. It's peaceful and the fresh air just feels amazing!
Dancing Bears Park

I suggest wearing comfortable shoes because the paths can be uneven and trust me you'll want to explore every corner of the park without any sore feet.
Razlog Park

I suggest grabbing a snack from local vendors outside the park instead of the cafe inside... It can save you some money, and the local treats are way tasty!
City Park

I suggest grabbing a snack at one of the local kiosks before exploring the park – the prices are way better than in the surrounding cafes, and you can enjoy your food while walking!

I found that visiting in the late afternoon around 5 PM makes for a much calmer experience. You'll avoid the larger crowds and get to enjoy the sunset views!
Don’t skip the little boat rides on the lake! It’s a fun way to relax and take in the scenery, plus it’s pretty affordable. I recommend budgeting some time for that part.
