Lake Louise Ski Resort

Try to hit the slopes right at 9 AM when the lifts open. It gets super crowded after that, and the fresh powder was amazing early on. I wish I had gotten there even earlier!

Don’t just stick to the trails you see first. I suggest taking some time to explore the lesser-known slopes, which had way fewer people and some of the best powder. It made my experience way better.
Warner Stables - Banff Trail Riders

I recommend taking the sunset ride if you can. The scenery is stunning, and the golden hour made the whole experience unforgettable!

If you're looking to save some cash, look for combo packages. I found one that included a ride and a meal nearby, which really helped keep my budget in check.

I suggest booking ahead, especially during summer. I saw a lot of disappointed folks who couldn't get spots because they showed up last minute

My advice is to wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. I didn’t think about it and ended up with a sore butt from chafing on the stirrups!
The Ship & Anchor

I think you should definitely grab some food; their nachos are awesome! Just be warned - they can take a bit longer to come out, especially when it's busy.

I suggest coming on a weekday if you can, like Tuesday or Wednesday, to avoid the huge weekend crowds. You'll have a better shot at getting a dart board and a chill atmosphere.

My advice is to try their house beers if you're looking to save a few bucks. They often have some great local brews on special, and you'll get a taste of Calgary's craft scene.

I recommend checking out their event schedule; they sometimes host live music or darts tournaments. I had a blast during a spontaneous event last time.
Kinsmen Sports Centre

i think it’s a must to try the snack bar after your game. the mini pizzas are delish and perfect for refueling, though a bit pricier. but hey, sometimes it's worth it!
Banff Sunshine Village
I suggest getting a multi-day pass if you plan to stay for a few days. It can save you some cash compared to buying single-day tickets each time.

Bring your own food if you can, because the on-site dining can be pricey and sometimes the food isn’t that great. I packed some snacks and it saved me a lot!
Sunshine Village Ski and Snowboard Resort
Boundary Ranch
Ogre's Den Gaming Club

Don’t forget to check their event calendar online before you go. I missed out on a cool tournament because I didn’t realize it was happening that day.
Prairie Mountain

I suggest bringing a good camera for the top views, but also remember a small tripod to get those perfect shots, especially during golden hour. You won’t regret it!

My advice is to pack some snacks and plenty of water. There are no shops once you start your hike and trust me you'll get hungry on the way up!

I think it’s worth checking the weather a few days ahead. It can change fast, and I got caught in unexpected rain. Waterproof gear is a must if the forecast looks cloudy!

If you're planning to hike up Prairie Mountain, I recommend starting around 7 AM. The earlier you go, the nicer the weather and fewer people you encounter. Plus, you get to enjoy the sunrise views!
The Shooting Edge

My advice is to try the .22 caliber guns first if you’re new. They’re way easier to handle and it’ll boost your confidence before moving to the bigger stuff.

I suggest booking your session online to save time – it gets busy on weekends and you don’t want to wait around. Plus, you might find a discount if you’re lucky!

i recommend checking out their special events or themed nights. i went on a random day and missed out on a cool competition – it would’ve been fun to join!
