West Edmonton Shopping Center
Royal Tyrrellovsky

If you can, try to visit on a weekday morning, around 9 AM, when it’s not too crowded. I went on a Saturday, and it felt a bit hectic with kids everywhere!

I think it's worth spending some time watching the videos in the exhibits. They give great context to the fossils, which really made my visit more enriching!

Make sure to wear comfortable shoes; there's a lot of walking involved. I underestimated how large the place is and regretted my choice of flip-flops!

Check the weather before going, as some outdoor exhibits might not be as enjoyable in the rain. I got caught in a drizzle, and it wasn’t fun!
Banff Springs Hotel
Heritage Park Historical Village

Bring a refillable water bottle. There are water stations throughout the park, and staying hydrated will help you enjoy your day more.

If you can, buy your tickets online in advance. It saves you time waiting in line and sometimes they have online discounts.

Check out the daily schedule for activities as soon as you arrive. Some of the demonstrations and shows only happen once, and you won’t want to miss them
Don’t miss the bakery! The fresh baked goods are a must-try and pretty affordable. Perfect for a snack while walking around.
Banff Visitor Centre

I think it's best to visit the center in the morning around 9:00 AM. It gets busy later, and you’ll have more time to ask questions and get local tips before heading out!

My advice is to ask the staff about hidden gems in the park. They shared an awesome local trail with me that wasn't in any of the tourist guides.

If you're looking to save some cash, grab the map and suggested itineraries from the visitor center instead of buying pricey guidebooks. Totally worth it.
Royal Alberta Museum

I recommend you download the museum's app before you go. It has great info on the exhibits and helped me navigate the layout much easier!

You might want to plan for a late afternoon visit; we stayed until closing and the crowds thinned out a lot, making it easier to enjoy the exhibits without feeling rushed.

My advice is to bring your own snacks. The cafe is a bit pricey and the food wasn't all that spectacular. You'll save some cash and have more energy to explore.
Banff Pedestrian Bridge

I suggest visiting the bridge early in the morning, around 8 AM, to avoid the crowds and get the best lighting for photos. Trust me, it's worth it!
My advice is to combine your visit to the bridge with a short hike nearby. The views from the trails are breathtaking and really enhance the whole experience.

if you're on a budget, grab some snacks at a nearby grocery store before heading to the bridge instead of dining at the more expensive places nearby. it saves you cash!
Alberta Legislature Building

I recommend checking out the free guided tours; they’re super informative and run every hour, but get there 15 minutes early to grab a spot since they can fill up fast!
Village of Ukrainian Cultural Heritage
Walter Dale Bridge

My advice is to bring a picnic and enjoy it at the nearby parks; it's a great way to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings without spending extra money on food
I suggest parking a bit further away and taking a nice stroll to the bridge; the views along the riverbank are stunning and make for great photos!

If you're into photography, I recommend visiting at sunset. The colors against the bridge look incredible and you avoid the midday crowds.
