Banff Gondola

I recommend buying tickets online ahead of time to avoid those long lines; it saved me a lot of waiting! Plus, keep an eye out for combo tickets for other attractions in Banff, which can save you some cash.

If you're aiming for sunset views, take the gondola ride a couple of hours before sundown. It gives you time to explore and grab a spot for the best photos as the sun sets over the mountains.

Try to visit on a weekday if you can. The weekends can get super packed, making the whole experience feel rushed and not as enjoyable. I loved my quiet weekday visit.

Don’t miss out on the hike on top! The boardwalk around the summit is gorgeous, and it’s a perfect way to stretch your legs after the ride; get that fresh mountain air!
Edmonton Radial Railway Society

I think visiting during mid-afternoon, around 2 PM, is the sweet spot. The crowds were lighter and I got more personal interaction with the conductors, who were super friendly and knowledgeable!
Pure Casino Yellowhead

My advice is to bring cash instead of swiping your card for everything. Some machines only take cash, and it helps you stay on budget.

I suggest checking out the daily promotions before you go; they can save you some serious cash on food or games. I found a great special on my visit!

After playing a few slots, I took a break at the bar; the drinks are decently priced and help you recharge. I really enjoyed their happy hour!

If you’re a fan of poker, try to join a game on a weeknight around 7 PM—the tables were way less crowded than on weekends and it was a lot more relaxed.
Starlight Casino

My advice is to arrive around 5 PM if you want to avoid the dinner rush at the restaurants. It gets super busy, and we ended up waiting longer than expected for a table.
100 Street Funicular

If you want a great view, try to ride during sunset. I did this and it was stunning, but make sure to arrive around 7 PM to avoid the longer lines
