English Bay Beach
Check out the beach volleyball courts! They're free to use, and it’s a fun way to meet locals or just have a laugh with your friends. I wish I had brought a ball!
I think you should grab some takeout from one of the nearby eateries and have a picnic on the beach! There's so many options, and you'll save a ton compared to dining in a restaurant.
Stanley Park
Check out the Vancouver Aquarium – it’s pretty cool! But, my advice is to buy tickets online to skip the line. It can get super busy, especially on weekends!
If you're into art, stop by the Totem Poles – they're a must-see. But, try to go early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Trust me, the early bird gets the best photos!
Sunset Beach Park
I suggest checking the tide schedule online before heading out. There’s nothing worse than showing up for a beach day just to find it’s too rocky for swimming!
I think renting bikes is a fun way to explore the park and nearby areas. Just check out the bike rental spots; they can be a bit hidden but worth it!
My advice is to visit during sunset around 7-8 PM. The views are stunning, and it’s not as crowded as during mid-day.
Kitzilano Beach Park
Don't forget to bring your own snacks and drinks; the beachside cafes can be pricey, and it’s nice to lounge with some picnic goodies.
Check out the sunset around 8 PM if you're still there; it's absolutely stunning and makes for awesome photos!
Sea to Sky Gondola
Butchart Gardens
Willows Beach
Parking can be a bit of a hassle during weekends, so I suggest arriving by 9 AM. Lots fill up fast, and the street parking can be tight.
Check the tide times before heading out! I didn't realize how different the beach can look, and the water comes in pretty close at high tide, which limits space.
Joffre Lakes
Don’t forget your camera but also put your phone away sometimes... Take in the beauty without the screen... I got some great pics but also missed just soaking it all in
I suggest arriving at the parking lot by 7 AM if you can. It fills up fast, and you want to snag a good spot to kick off your hike. Trust me, I learned the hard way!
Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge
I suggest checking the weather before you go. It can get slippery on the trails if it rains. I had a close call with muddy paths – definitely not fun!
If you're keen on a good view, don’t miss the extra hike to the lower falls. It takes a bit longer, but the breathtaking scenery is totally worth it – trust me!
