Tarrafal Beach

Plan your beach time from 10 AM to 1 PM for the best sun and fewer crowds. I went later in the afternoon and it was packed with people, not ideal for relaxing!
Bring some snacks and drinks from a local store to save money on food - the beachside cafes can be a bit pricey. Trust me those chips and cold drinks hit differently while chilling on the sand

Don’t forget your snorkel gear! The waters around Tarrafal Beach have some great spots for snorkeling; just be careful of the waves, especially in the afternoon.
Atalanta Beach

My advice is to bring your own shade like an umbrella or a beach tent. The sun can get intense and I didn’t think about it until I was roasting.

I recommend grabbing some snacks from the local market before heading to the beach. Food stalls are a bit pricey, and I found some tasty stuff for half the price!

I suggest going around sunset, around 6 PM, for some stunning views and great photo ops. Plus, the crowd thins out a bit, so it's much more chill!
Fogu
Serra Malagueta Natural Park

I suggest packing a picnic and water before heading out. There aren't many places to buy food in the park and you'll want to take your time enjoying the views without rushing back to find a meal.

My advice is to wear good walking shoes and start your hike around 8 AM. The trails can be slippery and it gets pretty hot later in the day. Trust me, it makes the experience way better!
Parque 5 de Julho

My advice is to bring your own snacks and drinks. There are some vendors, but they can be a bit pricey, and not much variety. I ended up paying way too much for a bottle of water. Save some cash and pack your fovorite munchies!
