Shanghai Science and Technology Museum

Check out the special exhibits, they're sometimes included in your ticket, and they can be so cool! I accidentally missed one that sounded amazing.

I recommend downloading a translation app, some displays could be hard to understand without English explanations. It made my experience way better!

Bring a packed lunch or snacks! The museum food is pretty pricey and not the best. I found a nice spot in the gardens to enjoy my lunch.
Shanghai Museum
Oriental Pearl

I suggest grabbing a bite at a nearby street food stall before or after your visit for a tasty and budget-friendly meal that local people enjoy.

Buy your tickets online ahead of time to avoid long lines; it's a total game changer and saves you so much time. I wish I had done this!

Be ready for crowds, especially on weekends; if you can, visit on a weekday morning for a more relaxed experience.

If you're on a budget, consider skipping the elevator to the highest deck and instead enjoy the views from the lower observation areas; they're still pretty impressive!
The Shanghai Natural History Museum

I suggest visiting on a weekday to avoid the crowd, especially if you can get there right when they open at 9 AM. It makes the experience so much more enjoyable!
Suzhou Museum

I suggest visiting in the late afternoon, around 4 PM, when the crowds thin out a bit, and you can enjoy the serene atmosphere and the beautiful gardens outside.

Definitely check out the free admission—they have a fantastic collection that won’t cost you a dime! Just keep your ID handy for quick entry.
Yu Garden
The China Art Museum
I suggest visiting on a weekday around 10 AM. It was way less crowded, and I got to enjoy the exhibits without rushing. Weekends tend to be packed, so you'll spend more time waiting in lines.
The Nanjing Museum

My advice is to check out the museum's temporary exhibitions first. I almost missed a really cool one because I didn't think to ask about it right away. They often showcase unique artifacts, and it's worth your time.
Power Station of Art
I think you should bring your own snacks; the café is pricey and not that great. I ended up spending more than I wanted on a sandwich that was just okay.

i recommend visiting during the week if you can, it gets super crowded on weekends. i went on a wednesday, and it was way more chill.
