Try to visit the Golden Whip Stream Trail early in the morning. It's absolutely stunning, and the peace and quiet makes for great photos. I regret not going there earlier!
If you're planning to take the cable car up to the Yuanjiajie area, try to go around 7:30 AM. The lines can get super long later in the day, and you want to avoid wasting your precious time!
I totally recommend getting a multi-day pass if you want to explore more. You can easily spend two or three days here, and it saves money compared to buying single day tickets.
When hiking, wear good shoes and bring plenty of water. I made the mistake of wearing flip-flops and ended up with sore feet. Trust me, it’s a trek!

My advice is to take the south trail rather than the north one if you want fewer crowds and a more peaceful experience. I loved the views there much more, plus it was way less congested

If you're thinking about sandboarding, make sure to bring your own board if you've got one. Renting can get pricy, and I found the quality varied a lot. Saves you some cash for that nice meal in town!
Trust me, pack plenty of water! I thought I'd be fine, but the heat was intense. I ended up buying overpriced bottles from vendors near the lot. Bring your own reusable bottle instead!
