Castillo San Felipe Fortress

Check out the cannons and tunnels. They’re super interesting, but I didn’t realize they were there until after I missed them!

My advice is to wear comfy shoes. You’ll be doing a lot of walking, and some areas have uneven surfaces.

If you want a stunning view, climb to the top of the fortress before sunset. The colors over the city are incredible!
Naval Museum of the Caribbean

Take your time in the first section, where they showcase the history of Cartagena's naval battles. I rushed through and had to double back to fully appreciate it.

If you're on a budget, check for discount days or times. I did and saved a few bucks on admission which made my visit even sweeter!

Don't skip the gift shop; unique naval-themed souvenirs are available and reasonably priced – I found some cool gifts for my friends back home.
Palace of the Inquisition Cartagena Historical Museum

Check out the gift shop before you leave! I found unique souvenirs here that I didn’t see anywhere else in Cartagena. Just remember to haggle a bit if you want a better price!

I suggest visiting early in the morning, around 9 AM, to avoid the crowds. It made my experience way more enjoyable and gave me the chance to explore without feeling rushed.
Zenu Gold Museum

I suggest visiting the museum right when it opens at 10 AM to avoid the crowds. I went later in the day and it was packed, which made it hard to see everything up close

My advice is to grab the audio guide – it’s only a few bucks and really enhances your experience. I skipped it initially, but I wished I hadn’t.
