San Andres

I recommend you try to rent a scooter instead of a car. It's cheaper, more fun, and lets you explore the island at your own pace. Trust me, the roads are perfect for it!

Don’t skip out on the local food stands. The street food is delicious and super affordable. You can enjoy fresh seafood for a fraction of restaurant prices!

If you're into surfing, try to catch the waves at Rocky Cay. The vibe is relaxed, plus you can usually find a good instructor without breaking the bank!

Check out Sprat Bight beach in the morning, around 8 AM. The water is calm and perfect for a swim before the crowds jump in and it turns into a busy spot!
La Piscinita

I suggest bring some snacks and water. There aren’t many options around La Piscinita and you might get hungry while swimming and exploring.

I recommend exploring around the area after swimming. The views and spots nearby are just stunning! Make sure to have your camera ready!
Watch out for sunburn. I thought I was fine, but a few hours in the sun without reapplying sunscreen got me. Bring a hat too.

Don’t forget your snorkeling gear! I didn’t bring mine and ended up renting it for a bit too much. Check local shops first!
Eco Parque West View
Old Point Mangrove National Park

I suggest taking the early morning route, like around 7 AM. The sunrise views are stunning and it’s way less crowded. Plus, you can have some peace while enjoying nature.
Haynes Cay

I recommend bringing your own snorkeling gear to save some cash, because renting equipment there can add up. Plus, you’ll want to dive in as soon as you hit the beach!

My advice is to check the tide schedule before you go. I found the best snorkeling spots around 10 AM when the water was calmest, making it totally worth it!
South West Sunsets
Acuario San Andres

I suggest going early, around 9 AM, to avoid the crowds and get the best snorkeling spots before everyone shows up. It makes a huge difference for a peaceful experience.

Bring your own snacks and water! The prices at nearby kiosks can be steep. We packed a cooler, and it saved us a lot while enjoying a lovely day by the water
